Hey everyone! It’s been a while since the last blog post, so I figured I’d clue you all in on what we’re doing.
We’ve spent the past couple weeks working on the atmosphere and actual gameplay of the Ascension demo. the engine, for the most part, is complete, and it’s simply putting the experience together from here on out. Right now, I’d say the demo (altogether) is about 75% complete. Yeah, we’re getting close.
Speaking of that, let’s talk release dates. We’ve been working on Ascension for about 5 months now, and we’re finally ready to get this game into the public eye. Our current plans (let’s hope they stay this way) are to release the demo on OCTOBER 30th. More on that as we get closer to the date, but there it is.
We’ve got a handful of testers, but we’re going to need more for the final game. If you’re interested in helping us out, contact us in whichever way you want.
We’ve got a part-timer on the team now! It’s my pleasure to introduce Chuckles, who is going to help us out in the art department for the time being. He’s not an official member of the team as of right now, but he’s giving us some much needed assistance, and for that we love him with our collective three hearts. Cariboo doesn’t have a heart.
So what’s left, you ask? Well, here’s an overview:
-We need to finish the game’s progression (meaning atmosphere, quests and general horror)
-We need to finish the enemy AI
-We need to finish the Sidequest
-We need to do some sort of menu/ending
-We need to finish some status effects
-We need to test
-We need to make some logos/banners for the demo day
Lots left to do, but with any luck we’ll get it done in time! I’ll keep you guys updated as the month progresses!
